    2. Sparks Athletic Center

      As a member of our NCAA Division III Athletics Program, you'll find what you need at Sparks.
      Fast facts:
      • Student athletes can access Sparks’ fitness center, sports medicine center, enhanced classrooms, multipurpose courts, climbing wall, activity spaces, and indoor swimming pool.
      • All of the teams which compete in the Sparks Athletic Center or on Sparks Field have dedicated team rooms within this facility. There are also general locker rooms and gender neutral restrooms on the lower level.
    3. Fitness Center

      The Fitness Center houses over 35 pieces of cardio equipment, seven multipurpose free weight racks, a rotating climbing wall and a plate-loaded circuit training room. There are several large TV’s and many of the cardio devices have built in monitors with cable television.

      Personal trainers are available to help students develop fitness and nutrition plans.
    4. Athletic Training Room

      The Burr Treatment Center is the main sports medicine facility on campus (there is another facility at McCulloch Stadium). Willamette has three full-time and one part-time certified athletic trainers who work with all 19 of our intercollegiate teams.

      The space, renovated in 2014, has electrical modalities, rehab equipment, treatment and taping tables, and a Polar Zone cold tub for rehab and recovery, which has state-of-the-art cleaning mechanisms as well as a high level of sustainability.
    5. Henkle Gym

      Henkle Gym is a multi-purpose court that provides a space for athletics teams to practice, as well as a venue for intramural sports and events.
    6. Sparks Indoor Pool

      Sparks Pool is attached to the Sparks Center. The pool, with space for 200 fans, is also visible from a viewing area in the lobby.

      The pool is a six-lane, 25-yard competition venue which features a Colorado Timing System. The north end is composed of glass, providing a great view of the Martha Springer Botanical Garden while allowing significant natural light to enter the natatorium.

      Swim team members can access the Men’s and Women’s locker rooms directly from the pool desk. Each locker room has a wet and dry space that includes showers, lockers, communal spaces, TVs and wireless speakers.
    7. Cone Field House

      Cone Field House/Gordie James Court is the home of Willamette’s basketball and volleyball teams. The arena holds 2,500 fans, with ample seating on each side of the court, which is named after former men’s basketball coach Gordie James.

      Cone Field House is also home to indoor batting cages that are used by our baseball and softball teams, along with practice mats and nets for our golf teams.
    8. Willamette Golf

      While Willamette’s Golf Teams train and store their equipment in Sparks, their home is Creekside Golf Club. Creekside is an 18-hole golf course ten minutes south of campus complete with chipping and putting greens and a covered driving range.

    9. Sparks Field

      Willamette’s soccer and lacrosse teams play home games at Sparks Field, an artificial turf facility on the WU campus. Sparks Field has lights for night games and seats 500 fans.

      Renovated in 2018, the Shaw Sports Turf surface is one of the top small college fields in the Pacific Northwest. Sparks Field includes covered seating for both teams.
    10. Softball Field

      One block to the east of the main campus, near Kaneko Commons, is Willamette’s Softball Field. The stadium features covered dugouts, indoor batting cages, an electronic scoreboard, and seating for 200.

    11. John Lewis Field

      John Lewis Field at Roy S. "Spec" Keene Stadium is a premier small college baseball facility built in 1989. The stadium complex includes chairback seating with a 1,500 person capacity, a concession stand, and restrooms.

      For the team there is a clubhouse, a covered hitting facility with lights, and a strength and conditioning room. Artificial turf was added to the mound, home plate, basepaths, and bullpen mounds in 2019.
    12. McCulloch Stadium and Athletics Complex

      Two blocks south of campus, McCulloch Stadium is home to Willamette’s football, track and field, cross country, and baseball programs. The stadium, which has a roof, includes a covered seating capacity of 3,500. The stadium has several locker rooms, a satellite training room, and four meeting rooms.

      The Charles Bowles Track is an eight-lane, full pour, polyurethane Beynon track surface. The track includes amenities such as a modern jumps area, RFID antennas for chip timing, and the capability of having sprints and jumps in both directions, depending on the wind.
    13. Bush’s Pasture Park

      Willamette’s cross country teams call Bush’s Pasture Park their home. The park covers over 90 acres and is just two blocks from Willamette’s campus. It is a public park highly utilized by the Willamette and Salem communities.

      A 1.5-mile bark trail surrounds the perimeter of the park, making it a great place for an easy run or a full workout. Runners on the Willamette's distance squad tally a majority of their miles in the park.

      Willamette has hosted numerous NCAA Division III West Region Championships, Northwest Conference Championships, and annually hosts the Charles Bowles Invitational.
    14. Tennis Courts

      The Willamette Tennis Courts feature six split level courts. The courts are labeled one to six from east to west. Courts one through three are on the upper level and courts four through six are on the lower level. Bleachers are located between courts three and four and seat approximately 100 fans. Willamette’s tennis teams also play at the Salem Tennis & Swim Club indoor courts.

    15. Brown Field

      Located between the student union and Lee & York Houses, Brown Field is an open green space on campus where students can enjoy a friendly game of volleyball, ultimate frisbee, or badminton.

    16. The Quad

      Located in the heart of campus, the Quad is one of the main sites for students to relax and enjoy informal athletic activities. There’s nothing better than pulling up an Adirondack chair on a fall afternoon and watching rugby practice.
