The Bistro Willamette is a coffee shop staffed and managed completely by Willamette students. The venue regularly hosts open mics, concerts, art exhibits and other student-oriented events.
Many items are made from scratch often using family recipes of current or former employees. The kitchen runs 18 hours a day cranking out warm cookies, our famous bars, and fresh lunch and dinner items.
The Bistro takes pride in the vendors that provide its coffee, bagels, produce and milk. Vendors are local, so ingredients are fresh. Supplied by Portland Roasting, the
coffee is organically grown, fair-trade certified and always brewed fresh. The loose leaf tea selection is supplied by Tao of Tea. Spielman Bagels provides fresh bagels every morning, hand-rolled and kettle-boiled the old-fashioned way. The Bistro's newest addition, the ever popular Curry Pockets, are provided by Happy Curry Foods located in Salem.
