Town and Gown Statue
This gift from sculptor Mark Sponenburgh, who created this piece in honor of Willamette's sesquicentennial celebration, was dedication on Founders' Day, Feb. 1, 1992. It symbolizes the relationship between Willamette and the Salem community, both established in the early 1840s.
