    1. Gatke Hall (GTK)

Built originally as the Salem Post Office in 1903 and moved intact in 1938 to its present location on campus, Gatke Hall housed the College of Law until the completion of the Truman Wesley Collins Legal Center in 1967. A portion of Gatke's ornate grill-work, monogrammed especially for the College of Law, was moved with the school and now adorns the entrance to the Collins Legal Center. Gatke Hall is named after Dr. Roberty Moulton Gatke, Willamette's first professor of political science and historian, who worked at Willamette for 53 years and authored The Chronicals of Willamette, Vol. 1.
