  1. University Center Tour

    The University Center serves as the hub for campus life.

    Stops

    1. University Center Exterior

      The University Center (UC) was built in 2010 and remodeled in 2014. It serves as the hub of campus life, featuring expanded retail food service options; a convenience store; a Starbucks Coffee; the cafeteria (The Calf); a large lounge space; and a Wells Fargo Banking Center. 
    2. University Center Lobby

      University Center Lobby 
      This is a common area for students to hang out. The student traffic on the first floor is so high that different clubs and organizations host tables here around lunch time. At these tables, students 
      are allowed to approach the clubs and organizations and discover ways to get connected.
       
    3. The Caf

      The Caf
      The dining hall is officially referred to as “The Caf”. At the beginning of the fall 2019 semester, Sodexo contributed $1 million for new dining hall upgrades. The Caf now has a modern, community-oriented atmosphere complete with a fireplace, games, compartmentalized socializing areas, and more.
       
    4. Starbucks Lounge

      CMU has a Starbucks shop on the first floor of the University Center. Attached to the Starbucks shop is a seating lounge for students to relax, study, and enjoy their Starbucks coffee. 
    5. Chick-Fil-A

      CMU has a Chick-Fil-A franchise on the first floor of the University Center. Right next to Chick-Fil-A is a large area full of tables. This is a common area for students to eat lunch, study, or meet with friends. 
    6. The Bookstore

      The Bookstore 
      The CMU bookstore is located on the east end of the first floor. This is where students can purchase Maverick merchandise, textbooks, school supplies, and miscellaneous items. Purchases at the bookstore can also be made online at the Maverick Store website.
       
    7. Student Life

      Student life is located on the second floor of the University Center. Here, there are offices of different student organizations as well as a study lounge that all registered students have access to.

    8. Meyer Ballroom

      The 8,500-square-foot Meyer Ballroom can accommodate up to 500 people for banquets, conferences, weddings and more, or can be subdivided into three smaller rooms. A partition wall opens to the south atrium and second floor terrace with views of the Uncompahgre.  
    9. University Center Balcony

      The balcony can be accessed from the second floor of the University Center. This balcony provides a vast view of campus.
