If you love the arts, you’ll fit right in at the Paul Mellon Arts Center. Home to the Arts Concentration signature program, your dance concert, play, musical, or artwork exhibition will blossom here. Whether you want to direct your own performance or take advantage of the art studios—designed with natural light to enhance your painting, drawing, or mixed media projects—this space lets you work closely with faculty and other students to explore, create, and appreciate new ranges of artistic expression.
The 770-seat theater is accompanied by its own scene shop, costume shop, and Green Room. You’ll also get to explore the smaller Chase-Bear Experimental Theater, also called the “Black Box,” which serves as an underground link between the main stage on the west side of the building and the gallery on the east side.
