      1. Woods' Rose (Rosa woodsii)

        Utah's native rose is a suckering shrub with single, five-petalled flowers in shades of pink. Found throughout the Intermountain West, it produces red rose hips and good displays of fall foliage color in addition to spring blossoms. Woods' Rose is very thorny, somewhat wild in habit and lends itself to natural, less formal settings.
