      1. Golden Currant (Ribes Aureum)

A native Western shrub, Golden Currant features clean green foliage that turns beautiful shades of red or purple in the fall. Clusters of small, yellow, wonderfully fragrant flowers appear in spring followed by edible berries. Unlike many native waterwise shrubs, Golden Currant can tolerate irrigation and semi-shade. It may produce stems from root sprouts that require pruning to maintain form.
