      1. Cliffrose (Purshia mexicana)

        This is a wonderful native shrub of great beauty and character. Of picturesque, twisty form, it explodes in May or June with hundreds of fragrant, light yellow flowers reminiscent of miniature roses. Cliffrose is an important browse species for animals and has numerous ethnobotanical uses in native cultures.
