      1. Blue Mist Spirea (Caryopteris x clandonensis)

        A dwarf, slightly spreading shrub, Blue Mist Spirea produces blue flowers in mid to late summer. It blooms on new wood; a fairly severe, spring shearing will force abundant stems that flower profusely. Few shrubs maintain such a dwarf habit while blooming this late in the season, making Blue Mist Spirea valuable for its combination of virtues.
