This formal looking native of Europe produces a rounded pyramid shape that turns from green to bright yellow in the fall. Among the most popular of landscape trees, it is often specified by landscape architects for institutional and street tree use. Small, fragrant, yellow-green flowers bloom in June and attract bees. Its wood is relatively soft and easy to cut.
