        Latin Name - Calocedrus decurrens
        Height - 40-60 feet
        Spread - 8-12 feet
        Growth Rate - Slow
        USDA Zone - 5 to 8
        Drought Tolerance - High

Incense cedar is a California and Oregon species that bears flattened sprays of wonderfully fragrant, evergreen foliage. Pick a small piece of foliage and crush it to release the fragrance. This tree is quite drought tolerant once established and is recommended for planting in Utah. Think of the holiday swags and wreathes that could be made from (your own!) incense cedar.
