    5. Sustainability at Mountie Café

      Mountie Café

The Mountie Cafe is a L.E.E.D silver building where Mt.SAC, alongside Sodexo, implement better sustainable features in the food industry. The Mountie Cafe has adopted a new oil recycling system that allows oil to be recycled without manual labor. It also reduced the amount of carbon emissions produced by trucks that picked up the daily waste.
    6. Sustainability Mt. SAC Campus

      Drought Tolerant Landscape

Mt. San Antonio College has begun implementing more California native plants around campus in order to reduce water usage for irrigation. Mt. SAC has also begun to change a large portion of traditional rotary head sprinklers to drip irrigation that can be seen around the campus. Not only do these changes help Mt.SAC transition to a green campus, but it also provides learning opportunities for students in various fields ranging from agriculture and horticulture to irrigation specialists, programs which are provided at here at Mt.SAC.
