    1. Oak Lodge

Oak Lodge was built at Camp Susque in 1984 to be the year-round home of then-Director and founder Chief Bob Dittmar and his family.  Chief Bob, Esther, and Nate Dittmar lived in this home through 2005, when Esther passed away.

Since then, Oak Lodge has remained primarily the Camp Director's residence, and the basement and garage was renovated into  "Oak Hollow" as a residence for Groundskeeper Nate Dittmar.

Oak Lodge gets its name from the trees that surround the lodge - a wide variety of mature oaks!  The oaks create a welcome shade in the summer, and roof-top percussion from the acorns in the winter.  Oak Lodge is surrounded by Chief Bob's ever present "Rock Gardens" and plenty of wild flowers.  A unique feature of the house is a "bridge" that connects the back-door to main camp which meanders through a wide variety of flowers, shrubs and trees.

Current occupants of Oak Lodge are Director Peter Swift, wife Lindsey Swift, daughters Audrey and Nora and cat Critter.
