      Edgar H. Ellis Jr. Hall Constructed in 2012, the building houses nine classrooms, academic offices, including the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Write Place, student publications, the President's Hall and Gibbs Auditorium - seating 275 -  that can also serve as classroom space.

      The building was made possible by donors to the College’s “Pioneering the Future” capital campaign. The building is named in honor of Dr. Edgar H. Ellis, Jr., a United Methodist Minister, trustee, alumni (SJC class of 1956), and strong advocate of Spartanburg Methodist College.
