The Stanley Vestal Building (SVB), formerly the Honors Building, houses the SWOSU Honors Program. This initiative provides SWOSU students with opportunities to develop their intellectual potential to the fullest using enriching curricular and co-curricular educational experiences.

The building is named after Walter Stanley Vestal, Oklahoma’s first Rhodes Scholar and a 1903 graduate of SWOSU. Vestal's stepfather was the first president of SWOSU. In addition, Vestal wrote more than 20 books about the Old West.

Built in 1941, the building was originally known as the Y Chapel Museum.
