    1. Academic Center

      To help the University reach its strategic goal of enhancing student success, KCU has repurposed what was formerly Weaver Auditorium into an academic center. An additional floor level was added to allow for the creation of two large lecture halls, one with 300-plus seats and one with 400-plus seats, as well as breakout rooms for smaller study groups.

    2. Student Activities Center (SAC)

      The Student Activities Center provides a centralized gathering place and work spaces for students, as well as an expansive fitness center, full-service coffee shop, bookstore, and more. The rooftop terrace offers views of the Kansas City skyline, as well as another place to study and socialize. Several Student Affairs offices are also located in the Student Activity Center, allowing students to have easy access to academic and clubs/organizational resources.

    3. D'Angelo Library

      The D'Angelo Library, which opened in 2011, provides a beautiful and spacious area for students, staff, and faculty to meet and learn. The Library Commons features amazing views of the Kansas City skyline and KCU campus, while designated study rooms provide privacy for individual or group study sessions.

       

      The Library also features a multi-purpose conference room, a computer lab and a Special Collections Room, which houses the University's archives as well as current Osteopathic materials. A knowledgeable staff provides several services, such as the interlibrary loan service to medical organizations worldwide.

    4. Smith Hall

      Smith Hall houses state-of-the-art computer technology, including individual computer rooms and three large computer-supported audio-visual rooms, all networked and supported by a file server and software library. Smith Hall is also occupied by the learning enhancement and tutoring offices, where students can receive academic support. This academic resource center also houses individual and group study rooms and locker rooms. Smith Hall also serves as home base for the Safety and Emergency Management Department.

    5. Dybedal Center for Research

      The Dybedal Center for Research is the focus of research activities at KCU. The center is equipped for Biosafety Levels I and II research and includes more than 20,000 square feet of basic science labs, support rooms and office space. The center also includes the Score 1 for Health program, which offers free health screenings to urban schools in the Kansas City area.

    6. Strickland Education Pavilion (SEP)

      Strickland Education Pavilion, completed in 1996, is designed from the ground up to be the best possible learning environment for future physicians and scientists.  Strickland Education Pavilion also houses the campus cafeteria and faculty/staff fitness facility.

    7. Butterworth Alumni Center

      The Butterworth Alumni Center serves as an important meeting and event space for the KCU campus. As a gathering place for students, faculty, alumni and friends, the Alumni Center provides the opportunity to share experiences, build friendships and develop the future together.

       

      Visitor Check-In

      KCU Visitors must obtain and display a visitor's badge as soon as they arrive on campus. Badges can be obtained at the reception desk in the foyer of the Dybedal Center for Research.

    8. Administration Building

      Built in 1916, the Administration Building served as the original Children's Mercy Hospital. Renovated in 2015, the new facility accommodates the needs of a 21st-century institution of higher education. By adding a welcome center for visitors to the north wing, the Administration Building is the key campus entry point for students, alumni and other campus guests.

       

       

      Visitor Check-In

      KCU Visitors must obtain and display a visitor's badge as soon as they arrive on campus. Badges can be obtained at the welcome center in the foyer of the Administration Building.
