The Farber-McIntire campus was made possible by our community partners, including Mercy Hospital Joplin, Freeman Health System, the City of Joplin and philanthropic leadership from the surrounding community.
The building was once the former temporary hospital donated to KCU by Mercy Hospital Joplin. The renovations include an expansion of nearly 20,000 square feet that includes a large lecture hall, learning studio and lab dedicated to osteopathic manipulative medicine courses.
The school’s simulation suite includes 24 standardized patient exam rooms and three simulation rooms featuring high-fidelity, programmable robots in fully equipped medical, surgical, obstetrical and trauma settings.
Extended video conferencing capabilities connect the Joplin campus to the KC campus, allowing students, faculty and staff to share learning opportunities.
