    1. King Hall

King Hall opened in 2004 along with its neighboring dorm, Wieland Hall. The building houses 68 upperclass students, all in single-occupancy rooms. Its ground-floor common room is a site for friendly student gatherings. It is named in honor of Stanley King, who graduated from Amherst in 1903 and served as the College’s president from 1932 to 1946.
