    1. Drew House

      Drew House, located across Route 9 from Valentine Hall, is a theme house devoted to African and African-American culture. Originally the home of President Julius H. Seelye, Class of 1849, the house was remodeled in 1922 as the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house. The house was dedicated in 1986 to the memory of Dr. Charles R. Drew 1926, a surgeon, director of the first American Red Cross Blood bank, and a pioneer in blood plasma preservation.
