    1. Keefe Campus Center

This bright yellow building is one of the busiest on campus. It’s home to the Center for Community Engagement, the Multicultural Resource Center, the Cadigan Center for Religious Life, and the Women’s & Gender Center, as well as the campus post office and movie theater. The student government, called the Association of Amherst Students, is headquartered at Keefe, as are The Amherst Student newspaper and the student-run radio station. Schwemm’s Coffee House, on the first floor, offers Grab-N-Go lunches as an alternative to Valentine Dining Hall; it also serves hot drinks, sandwiches and baked goods for those in need of late-night snacks and caffeine. The annual Jazz@Schwemm’s series brings professional and student jazz musicians to play at the coffeehouse. And the Friedmann Room, on the second floor, is the venue for weekly shows by the student group Mr. Gad’s House of Improv, among other discussions and performances. Completed in 1987, the building bears the name of Harry V. Keefe Jr. of the class of 1943.
