This 400-seat proscenium theater is the main venue for theatrical productions at Amherst, including senior honors shows by students majoring in theater and dance. Kirby boasts a lobby and lounge, workshop spaces for creating scenery and costumes, and computerized lighting and sound systems. Attached to Kirby is Holden Experimental Theater, a versatile 4,000-square-foot “black box” performance space. (Holden, in turn, is attached to Webster Hall.)
