  1. Academic Buildings

    This is a tour of the campus's academic buildings.

    Stops

    1. Bunce Hall Entrance

      These front steps to Bunce Hall are the building's main entrance, though there are entrances on both sides as well as the back. 
    2. Bunce Hall Lobby

      The first building on campus, Bunce Hall was built in 1923. This building features classroom and office space as well as the Tohill Auditorium.

    3. Sangree Greenhouse

      Leaving through the right side of Bunce, you will pass by the Sangree Greenhouse 
    4. Memorial Hall

      Memorial Hall houses several dance studios where dance rehearsals and classes take place. The building also houses information (computer) resources, the Help Desk, Web Services, and the Duplicating Center.
    5. Memorial Circle

      This circle is the fastest route to cut through to get from building to building this side of campus. 
    6. Bozorth Hall

      Originally built as a campus demonstration elementary school, Bozorth Hall houses the College of Communication & Creative Arts offices, Rowan Radio, Rowan TV, a distance learning classroom, film-editing facilities, a computer-equipped journalism newsroom, an advertising/PR client suite, a layout room, and a computer-equipped writing laboratory.

    7. Hawthorn Hall

      Originally built as a residence hall, today Hawthorn Hall houses classrooms and faculty offices for the College of Communication & Creative Arts and contains 27 offices, four classrooms and two conference rooms.

    8. Westby Hall

      Westby Hall contains art studios for ceramics, sculpture, jewelry/metals, painting, printmaking and photography, computer labs, classrooms, a lecture hall for 110 students, exhibition galleries, and faculty offices.

    9. Business Hall

      Home to the Rohrer College of Business, this $63.2 million building opened in 2017. It includes 14 classrooms, seven conference rooms, 10 specialty spaces, 15 administrative offices and 70 faculty offices. The building houses RCB’s trading room with its ticker tracking the stock market in real time;  the Center for Professional Development, a valuable resource for students dedicated to providing career preparation skills designed to make them stand out in the job market; and Hatch House, a business accelerator dedicated to supporting student entrepreneurism in all majors across campus.

    10. Wilson Hall

      Home to the College of Performing Arts, Wilson Hall contains the Dean of the College of Fine & Performing Arts, two large rehearsal rooms, Boyd Recital Hall, practice rooms, classrooms, student lounges, a music library, faculty offices, the concert box office and W. Clarke Pfleeger Hall—a 1,000 seat auditorium.

    11. Rowan Hall

      Home to the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, 95,000-square-foot Rowan Hall features three floors of offices, classrooms, laboratories and the 115-seat Betty Rowan Auditorium.

    12. Engineering Hall

      Connected to the College’s original Rowan Hall by a third-floor pedestrian bridge, Engineering Hall, opened 2017, is a gateway to the University’s campus off Bowe Boulevard in Glassboro. The facility includes four classrooms, 19 research and teaching labs and 14 collaboration rooms. The building also includes a two-story dining/study/gathering space as well as outdoor space for students to study and meet.


    13. James Hall

      Home to the College of Education and named after Rowan University’s 5th president. Dr. Herman D. James Hall features classrooms and faculty offices, as well as distance-learning facilities, the Early Childhood Demonstration Center and a variety of laboratory space and outreach centers.

    14. Robinson Hall

      Located in the center of campus, Robinson Hall is one of the largest classroom buildings on campus. The core of the building consists of classrooms and seminar rooms, though it also houses a small cafe stand and seating on the first floor.

    15. Science Hall

      Three-story Science Hall features the 102-seat Edelman Planetarium, a rooftop observatory with a 16-inch telescope, 27 teaching laboratories and 22 research labs.

    16. Clock Plaza

      The clock plaza is a common in-between point where the paths to many buildings intersect. 
    17. Whitney Center

      A mixed-use facility located on Rowan Boulevard, Whitney Center includes living space and administrative space. The building houses up to 278 residents in single occupancy bedrooms in apartments housing one to four students. Each apartment includes a kitchen, breakfast nook, living room and bathroom, as well as access to laundry facilities and recreational spaces. Whitney Center is also home to the Bantivoglio Honors Program and contains offices, a lounge and classroom space.
    18. 230 Victoria

      Student housing on Victoria Street, 6 floors of housing holding 413 student beds. Each suite in this building consists of a single or double bedrooms, with up to 8 bedrooms per housing suite. Each suite shares a kitchen, a bathroom and a living area. The building also houses a recreation center, a parking garage, retail space, and classrooms and offices.

    19. 301 West High Street

      The three story building features the new Rowan University art gallery. It  features classrooms, faculty offices, computer labs and student lounge spaces.
