    2. The Marketplace

The Marketplace or the “caf” is the main eatery on campus. Use a meal swipe or pay when you walk in, then grab however many plates you want. There’s a sandwich bar, a salad bar, a pizza and pasta area, a dessert section, a gluten free and allergy free section, and a grill section with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and cheese-steaks. There’s also our Around the World 360 Degree culturally diverse section where different dishes from around the world are served on different days. Everything you need is right in the "caf."
    3. Chamberlain Student Center

A campus focal point where students gather for events and services, the Student Center stands three stories high in the center of campus. The building features the information desk, a laundry room, student ID room, mail room, an ATM, Eynon Ballroom, meeting and conference rooms, and eateries including the dining hall, food court, an outdoor dining area, Owl’s Nest restaurant, RoGo convenience store, and Peet's coffee stand. There are also various weekly events that take place here in the Student Center, more information about which can be found on the Office of Student Activities website.
    4. Food Court and Prof's Place

Down on the first floor we have the food court. The court has different places to eat such as Sono (similar to Chipotle), Twisted Mac (gourmet mac and cheese), Prof’s Pizza, as well as Green Zebra (salads and wraps) all of which meal swipes can be used for. We also have RoGo downstairs, a mini convenience store, and Express which makes paninis and other on-the-go meals.

In the back of the first floor we also have Prof’s Place, which stays open until 1 a.m. Prof's Place offers two eateries, the first is Jersey Mike’s Subs. The second place to eat is Grill Nation which makes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and french fries. These meals can be done right there for a meal swipe

    5. Holly Pointe Commons

Holly Pointe Commons is our newest freshman dorm, opened in 2016. There are plans to make the dorm exclusively freshmen, though currently there are some upper classmen students on the sixth and seventh floors. This is the only freshman dorm with AC. It is sleek, modern, and brand new. It is communal style, meaning the bathrooms are in the middle of the hall shared by the floor as opposed to suite style where bathrooms are shared by several individual rooms.

This dorm has men’s, women’s and all gender facilities. The most guaranteed way to be placed in this dorm is to be in the Honors Program, or to be in one of the Learning Communities. History, Engineering, LGBTQ+, they’re all housed in Holly Pointe Commons.

Our new cafeteria is here as well, named Glassworks Cafeteria. It’s similar to the Marketplace in the Student Center. When you enter, you swipe with your Rowan ID, grab a plate and eat buffet style.

    6. Rowan Boulevard

Technically Rowan Boulevard is still on campus, though it seems like it may be off campus. If students want to get away from the cafeteria or campus food, Pizza Hut, Prime Burgers, 711, Ry’s Bagels, all located on Rowan Boulevard take Rowan Bucks, and some do take Dining Dollars as well. There are stores as well including a salon, an escape room, and a Chickie’s and Pete’s.

The Rowan University Barnes and Noble's Bookstore is located here as well. You can get Rowan Attire as well as textbooks and other books you may want.

The Enterprise Center located on Rowan Boulevard is the home for Graduate Programs here at Rowan University. That is where most graduate program classes meet.

Additionally, most upperclassmen housing is on Rowan Boulevard. There is Rowan Boulevard Apartments, or RoBo as well as The Whitney Center. Both are apartment style, with four bedrooms in each apartment, one person per bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Honors students are mainly in the Whitney Center, though there are some rooms for non-honors students.

Down the street is 220 On The Boulevard, our brand new luxury apartments for Juniors and Seniors. Opened in 2015, it is the same setup as RoBo and Whitney with stainless steel appliances, granite counter-tops, and a 55 inch Verizon Fios TV in the family room. The new apartments that opened up on Victoria Street are the same setup as 220 On the Boulevard.

The new gym is also on Victoria. Due to the amount of students accepted a new gym was needed complete with brand new equipment and a fully functioning weight room.

    7. Freshman Dorms

In our traditional residence halls, freshman dorms are either doubled or tripled. Tripling isn’t likely here at Rowan University but you can volunteer to be a triple, and there are some benefits to that.

Laundry services are in the basement of each freshman dorm, it’s $1 to wash and $1 to dry, you can use quarters or your Rowan Bucks. Willow Hall is the only dorm that does not have its’ own machines, but there are machines in the Student Center for those students to use which is a short distance away.

Each wing in every Freshman Dorm has a resident assistant or RA, to help students with a smooth transition to college life. We also have Community Safety Advisers or CSAs who walk through the dorms from about 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. to make sure everyone is being safe and following the rules.

Each freshman dorm room comes with Ethernet ports as well as a cable TV port. If you want cable, bring a TV and coaxial cable. Ethernet cords freshman year allow you to access faster Internet. The Wifi can get slow during peak hours, but if you have an Ethernet chord not as many students are on, so it tends to be faster.

    8. Student Recreation Center

Located on the Glassboro campus, the Rec is a 92,000-sq.-ft. health club open year-round that offers recreational activities, fitness programs, intramural sports and instructional classes.

When you come to the Rec Center the membership cost is built into your tuition so membership is free with your Rowan ID.
We do have personal trainers so if you want to work out with one you can pay to do so. They are students here at Rowan University either Senior or Graduate Students to become athletic trainers or personal trainers. Now, let's break the Rec down by each floor.
    9. Student Recreation Center Lobby

When we first walk in we see the helpful employees at the information desk. You give them your ID, they scan you in, then you are free to do any activity you'd like. You can also rent equipment at the information desk just give them your Rowan ID in exchange for the equipment. When you give them the equipment back they give you your ID back.

To the left are our group fitness rooms. The classes are an additional cost here at Rowan University. One class for a one day pass is $3, for five days it is $12, and a full semester pass is $45.

Down the hall we have our Rowan pool. It’s a 25 meter collegiate style pool, as well as another one right next to it. It’s open for student swim in the morning, afternoon, and nights. Also on the first floor we have 3 basketball courts. One is open for shoot around, one is open for pick up, and one transforms day to day from indoor soccer to badminton.

    10. Student Recreation Center Level 2

Moving up to the second floor is our main gym area. There are machines, our free weight section, treadmills, ellipticals, stair-masters, and mats. Rec Center employees are trained on all of the machines, and you can ask them for help as needed.

Rowan has a no intimidation gym policy meaning you will not be working out in the same facility as sports teams, they work out in their own separate gym attached to this one.

Upstairs we also have five racquetball courts and our indoor track which is 1/11th of a mile.
