    1. Leon Levine Hall of Medical Sciences

The Leon Levine Hall of Health Sciences is a 96,500 square foot facility that houses the School of Osteopathic Medicine. The facility is the first of several buildings planned for the 40 acre Health Science Campus.

The building design takes advantage of shared dual-purpose classrooms in both multi-purpose and lecture-style arrangements. It includes numerous student group rooms, student interaction areas, a resource library, a small café, and sophisticated technical equipment for interaction, demonstration, and testing throughout the entire facility.

The 2nd Floor South Building is dedicated to simulation laboratories where students can learn through observation and hands-on, real-life application. The simulation center includes rooms for both simulated patients and standardized patients. The Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) lab is utilized to teach both OMM and basic physical diagnosis skills. The anatomy laboratory is designed to provide a state-of-the-art facility for cadaver dissection and the study of gross anatomy. Tables are arranged in clusters with each table having a flat screen monitor with computer access as well as video capability to project faculty dissection demonstrations from the instructor’s teaching station.

Leon Levine Hall is designed to train future leaders in the medical field through many forms of interactive, hands-on learning environments designed to simulate real-life clinical experiences.

The University currently maintains over 1,200,000 square feet of office and instructional space which includes classrooms, auditoriums and office space. If the need should arise, these facilities could accommodate the administrative and instructional needs of the medical school.
