        About the Museum
The A. Scott Warthin Museum of Geology and Natural History is located in Ely Hall, within the Department of Earth Science and Geography, and is open to groups and individuals. Since it was commissioned in 1862 at the request of Matthew Vassar, there have been many exciting additions to the original collection of rocks, minerals and fossils, including a permanent exhibit of large and beautiful fluorescent minerals.
