        The People’s Challenge: Inventing a Vision for Growth and Global Market Participation in Cuba

        Course Themes
        Cuba’s strengths in tourism, technology, arts, sports, consumer goods, and health care, and their value in the quest for economic growth; Cuba’s present-day culture, its unique spirituality, and their influence on the country’s future transformation; reinvention and reorientation as a player in the global market; and the influence of Cuban history, culture, government, and society on Cuban business practices.


        Global Insight Expeditions (GIXs) are faculty-led global immersion courses. They typically last eight to 10 days and provide opportunities to interact in a meaningful way with local businesses, nonprofits, government officials, and entrepreneurs.

        GIXs are part of TuckGO in which students choose from a portfolio of immersive global courses that provide them with the skills and knowledge to successfully navigate diverse business environments.
