The final in a series of eight smaller pieces by western sculptor Barry Hunnicutt, the Motion Shield reflects the artist's interest in Aztec hieroglyphs and pre-Columbian architecture. Hunnicutt used high-strength, low-alloy Cor-Ten steel as the medium to add an appearance of strength to the work.
