Maroon Bells
The purple mountains majesty could not be more apparent than in the Maroon Bells outside of Aspen. Besides those that come for the nearby ski resort, they also draw alpine climbers looking to summit the technical, unforgiving 14ers. If that sounds a little too adventurous, there are also accessible hikes for everyone to see the stark beauty of these ancient arrowheads from a more comfortable distance.
