    1. Alumni Circle

      Dedicated in 1999, the Alumni and Friends Circle, located between Old Main and Fairfield Hall, encompasses commemorative trees, benches, and light posts donated by alumni and friends of WCSU. In 2003, the Alumni Association contributed a bronze-cast marker to the circle's center. The Office of Institutional Advancement welcomes donor gifts year-round. A rededication ceremony is held each fall during Homecoming.

    2. Fairfield Hall

      Fairfield Hall was, until recently, WCSU's only all-female residence hall. Built in 1917, the hall then accommodated 84 students; in 1957, the facility was renovated and 46 units were added. Following a major renovation in 2008, the 34,000 square-foot Fairfield has become a coeducational residence hall, housing several lounges and study areas. The building provides cable TV and wireless internet access. The building also contains a laundry facility, vending machines and an information desk.
    3. Fairfield Hall Room

      Our freshman residence halls are double occupancy and provide a communal bathroom on each floor for our residents. Your student ID will be your key to your room along with the bathroom on your floor. Each floor will also have a Resident Assistant (RA), they will be there to assure all student living in the residence halls are safe and abiding by the rules of campus living.
    4. White Hall

      Once the home of Danbury's high school, White Hall was purchased by the university in 1964. Built in 1925, the building was named in honor of Alexander White, a Danbury native and the school's original benefactor. Today, White Hall serves as a multi-purpose academic building.
    5. Warner Hall

      Added to the Midtown campus in 1999, this building was named for Dr. Truman A. Warner, professor emeritus of anthropology and history. The design and architecture of the 32,000-square-foot building was carefully planned to blend with the rest of the Midtown campus, incorporating many aesthetic elements from the two oldest buildings, Old Main and Fairfield Hall.
    6. Haas Library

      Named for a former university president, this six-level library was named for Dr. Ruth A. Haas, the first woman to be elected president of a four-year college in the United States. Originally built in 1969, a $19.8-million expansion project in 2000 funded an addition and renovation that more than doubled the size of the library to 95,000 square feet.
    7. Higgins Hall

      Built in 1950, Higgins Hall was named in honor of Lothrop D. Higgins, a science professor who became the school's second principal while the university was known as Danbury State Normal School. In 1962, an addition called Higgins Annex was added to the Hall, nearly doubling the size of the building to more than 85,000 square feet. Higgins Hall was recently renovated giving the building a fresh new look and merging the annex and main building together. Renovations were completed in the fall of 2019.
    8. Berkshire Hall

      Berkshire Hall, totaling more than 65,000 square feet, sits on the northern end of the Midtown campus. In addition to classrooms and faculty offices, Berkshire houses the Bill Williams Gymnasium, along with  WCSU's fitness zone. Berkshire Hall will be undergoing renovations set to begin in Spring 2021.
    9. Wellness Center

      Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) promotes organizational and individual wellness and respect among members of its campus community by fostering a wellness culture across the university’s campuses and by building partnerships with the greater community.
    10. Science Building

      This state-of-the-art, 122,000-square-foot science building, completed in 2005, houses the biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy and meteorology departments.
    11. Kathwari Honors House

      Formerly the St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, WCSU purchased Irfan Kathwari Honors House in 1996. This 6,000-square-foot building has been used as a multi-purpose lecture and exhibition facility and serves as a small theater for concerts, readings and WCSU's popular Thursday night Coffeehouse. Irfan Kathwari Honors House also is home to the Child Care Center, which opened in 1997. It’s open for 24 hours for honors students, honors building for honors classes, studying and club meetings.
    12. Midtown Student Center

      Constructed in 1959, the Student Center was originally named Memorial Hall. After a renovation and addition project that doubled the building size to more than 71,000 square feet, the Student Center re-opened in 1998.
    13. Old Main

      Western Connecticut State University offers one-stop-shopping in the way of student services. In Old Main, you can visit the Office of University Admissions, get your student I.D, arrange an email account or register for classes. 
    14. West Connect Office

      The WESTCONNect Card is literally your access to a world of services here at the university including but not limited to physical door access, meal plans, the debit card program (CONNect Cash), ConnectPrint credits which allow on campus printing, entry to campus fitness facilities, campus library use, access to special events, and the ability to participate in supplementary programs like Student Advantage. The WESTCONNect Office manages physical access and security on campus with the WESTCONNect card, key box management, hard key issuance, and CCTV. All policies and procedures are geared towards the best level of security possible in the collegial learning environment of a public university.

    15. Westside Campus Center

      This 49,000-sq.-ft. student center provides a full service dining facility, a game room, ballroom, meeting and conference rooms, student activity space, lounge areas and related campus-life and student-life facilities.
    16. Pinney Hall

      Named in honor of former CSU Board of Trustee Member A. Searle Pinney, this building was completed in 1999. This 425-bed, 182,000-square-foot apartment-style residence hall is typically reserved for upper-class students and accommodates five students per suite.

    19. O'Neill Center

      Completed in 1995, the 80,000-square-foot William O'Neill Athletic and Convocation Center acts as a multi-purpose athletic facility for the Westside campus and houses many of WCSU's athletic and recreational offices.
    20. Western's Athletic Stadium

      Go Colonials! Completed in 2004 with new turf added in 2014, the Westside Athletic Stadium includes a 24,000-square-foot SprintTurf field where the Colonials play their home football, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's lacrosse and field hockey games. The stadium also houses an outdoor facility that seats approximately 2,500 spectators and is equipped with a press box, concession stand (operated by Sodexho Dining Services), and restrooms.
    21. Visual & Performing Arts Center

      The Visual and Performing Arts Center emphasizes the individual character of each of the university’s arts programs, expressed in the Center’s interplay of shapes, materials, and light. Each program – visual arts, theater, and music – is identified with a metal-clad geometric shape housing its signature activity: the music program’s concert hall, the theater department’s proscenium theater, and the visual arts’ north-facing studios — reflecting the intimacy of theater, the expansiveness of performed music, and the creative concentration of the visual arts. The construction was completed on our Westside location in 2014.
    22. Westside Classroom Building

      Completed in 1981, the 89,000-square-foot Westside Classroom Building is WCSU's most uniquely designed facility. With its "spiral" hallway concept, its four floors are accessible without using elevators or stairs.
