First Year Residence
The first residence hall built on campus, Sanford Riley dates back to 1927. Today, the coed hall provides a comfortable atmosphere, blending tradition and modern comforts on four floors. It is home to approximately 180 students who live in single, double, triple, and quad rooms and offers an open layout that encourages students to hang with large groups of friends and get to know each other. Sanford Riley also houses WPI's Little Theatre and is centrally located on the WPI Quad, making it easy for its residents to get to classes, the Sports and Recreation Center, and the Rubin Campus Center.
