    1. Haber Green

Haber Green's lush lawn provides a large open space for the campus community. When the weather is nice, students can be found lounging on Adirondack chairs, or studying and socializing on the Green.

It is located in the center of campus, adjacent to the Commons, Landman Library, Dining Complex, residence hall and academic buildings. The Green is used for campus events and student recreation, and is the traditional site for Commencement ceremonies.

Haber Green is named after alumna Lois Haber '71, '16H and her husband, Michael. Lois holds the distinction of becoming the first alumna ever appointed Chair of the University's Board of Trustees. In 2011, she dedicated Haber Green to the Class of '71.

Nearly 400 feet below the Green are more than 4 miles of piping connecting 42 geo-thermal wells. Arcadia uses nature's temperate waters to heat and cool the Commons. There is also an underground system to capture and hold rainwater runoff for irrigation of plantings upon demand.
