    1. Student Union at Hubbard Hall (SUHH)

      The newly remodeled and expanded Student Union at Hubbard Hall provides more than 125,000-square foot of space for students, including retail dining options and amenities like quiet lounges, a meditation room, performance lounge, game room, meeting rooms and expanded conference spaces to accommodate meetings. 

      Fun Fact: The original Hubbard Hall opened in 1950 as a campus dining hall and underwent extensive renovations to become the new home for Texas Woman’s Student Union in 2020. Many of its original features were restored—adding a vintage touch to the modern space.

    2. Starbucks

      Location: Blagg-Huey Library, 1st floor

      This full service Starbucks features all the amenities and menu options you would expect to find at your local Starbucks. Grab a quick breakfast, snack or lunch option, grab a drink to-go or stay and study.

      Fun Fact: You can use your meal plan at Starbucks.

    3. Blagg-Huey Library (BHL)

      Texas Woman’s history and modern technology meet in the Blagg-Huey Library. Decorated with stained glass and traditional architecture, the library also hosts modern amenities and workspaces to enhance your studying. 

      Fun Fact: The library cupola—the pretty tower atop the building—is also known on campus as the office for our mascot, Oakley.

    4. Fitness & Recreation Center (FRC)

      A membership to the Fit and Rec center is free with a TWU student ID. Enjoy access to the full service fitness center or take a personal training course. Outdoor enthusiasts can join Outdoor Adventure and enjoy hiking excursions, overnight camping or day trips.

    5. Lowry Woods Community (LW)

      The Lowry Woods Community has 168 units comprising primarily of two and three bedroom apartments that house approximately 367 residents. Lowry Woods features a large community area complete with a computer lab, television lounge, activity deck and a classroom for The Clubhouse after school and summer day camp program for student parents. In addition this facility offers laundry rooms in each of the 7 buildings and full kitchens in each apartment.

      Fun Fact: The Clubhouse offers free drop-in child care for TWU student parents on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings for children ages 5-12. All students pay is a one-time application fee per semester.

    6. Guinn Hall (GH)

      Guinn Hall stands 24-stories tall, offering stunning views of the Denton skyline, and is equipped with abundant study and social spaces and offers easy access to dining, library and classroom facilities. Guinn is a co-educational, second-year residence hall with double and single occupancy rooms, each with a private bath. A computer lab services both Stark and Guinn in the Commons, along with a convenience store.

      Fun Fact: A fixture on the Denton horizon, when Guinn Hall was completed in 1970, it became the country’s largest residence hall. The building is named for John A. Guinn, the former university president who changed our name to Texas Woman’s University and expanded our nursing programs into Dallas and Houston.

    7. Stark Hall (STH)

      Stark Hall stands 21-stories tall, offering stunning views of the Denton skyline, and offers easy access to dining, library and classroom facilities. Stark is a co-educational, second year residence with double occupancy rooms. Adjacent to Stark Hall, the Commons provide space for studying and large group activities. A computer lab services both Stark and Guinn in the Commons, along with a convenience store.

      Fun Fact: Stark Hall actually was the first skyscraper on the Denton campus and was the tallest residence hall in the nation when it was completed in 1967. It was named in honor of TWU alumna Nelda Childers Stark.

    8. Dining Hall

      The brand new, state-of-the-art Dining Hall comes with 26,000-square foot of options from the Pioneer Kitchen, including a pizza oven, hibachi grill and a buffet style menu that changes daily.

    9. Dianne Baker Field

      Dianne Baker Field, the home field for TWU’s softball team, is nestled on the north side of campus. Named after softball legend and distinguished TWU alumna, Dianne Baker, the field hosts NCAA regional and national tournaments and includes outdoor batting cages, bleacher and hillside seating, and a press box. 

      Fun Fact: All TWU Athletics games are free to attend with a TWU student ID.

    10. Parliament Village (P3)

      Parliament Village, home to 872 students, consists of two four-story residential buildings and one five-story residential building, providing a convenient and practical living environment for first-year students. The Village offers double and private occupancy bedroom accommodations with bathrooms shared by residents of each floor. Other common area amenities include study lounges, multi-purpose meeting room, training room, maker space, fitness center, laundry facilities and reception areas with a Housing office suite.

    11. Pioneer Hall (PH)

      Pioneer Hall is special. As the home where our Denton/Dallas graduates cross the stage for commencement, it’s the last place many of our students see. With 140,000-square feet of space on three floors, it’s also where we house competitions for our award-winning TWU Pioneers student athletes, including:

      Pioneer Hall also houses classrooms, seminar rooms and research labs.

    12. TWU Bookstore

      Located in Student Union at Hubbard Hall, the bookstore carries required and optional textbooks for all courses taught on campus as well as other books, campus swag, school supplies, clothing, snacks and gifts. This is where you can buy used or new textbooks or rent for the semester. Here also is where you will order your cap and gown for graduation.

    13. Soulgood

      Location: Oakland Complex, 1st floor

       

      This award winning restaurant offers a 100% vegan breakfast and lunch menu that includes buttermilk biscuits, waffles, Beyond Burger, tamales, tacos, vegan desserts, as well as a variety of grab and go coffees, juices and specialty shakes.

    14. Pioneer Woman Statue at Pioneer Circle

      The Pioneer Woman statue at Texas Woman’s University—affectionately known as Minerva (Roman goddess of wisdom) by students—made her debut on the Denton campus Dec. 5, 1938. The statue pays tribute to the spirit of pioneering women in Texas and is located within Pioneer Circle.
