In 1982, Henson House, purchased from Mr. and Mrs. James C. Henson, became the home of the West Tennessee Museum/Archives on the UT Martin campus. In 2008, the former tennis center was demolished to make way for the new Student Recreation Center and moved to Henson House. The facility was officially named James C. Henson Tennis Center in honor of the tennis coach who had three decades of successful teams at UT Martin.
Skyhawk Tennis Complex
Directly behind the Henson Tennis Center is the Skyhawk Tennis Complex where the UT Martin tennis team plays all home matches. The complex features 16 courts and is also available for recreational use.
