The Memorial Union is the community center for all members of the university. The first student union facility constructed west of the Mississippi River, the Union stands as a memorial to all students who served their country in a time of war. It is one of the largest single employers of students on the ESU campus as it houses the Admissions Office, Office of International Education, Career Services, Hornets Nest (resident dining), Skyline Dining room, Hornet Express, Bookstore, Mail center, ID card services, space for conferences, balls, and banquets, Pottery with Pizzazz, lounge areas, and more.
