The centerpiece of the Milus E. Hindman Garden is a large bronze statue, "Monumental Barn Owl," by Jeffrey Dashwood, part of the Rice Public Art collection. The statue was a gift from Ralph and Becky O'Connor and the garden is named for Rice alumnus Milus E. Hindman.
