      Tudor Field House and Youngkin Center

       

      The Tudor Field House and Youngkin Center complex houses Rice Athletics and provides practice and competition space for the Rice basketball and volleyball teams. The facility also includes the Rice ticket office, the Robert E. and Elizabeth W. Bixby Academic Center, a training center for Rice athletes, the Fox Gym practice facility and the offices of the athletic director and athletic administrators and coaches.

       

      What’s there:

      Named for: Bobby Tudor ’82, a former Rice basketball player and the current Rice board chairman and CEO of Tudor, Pickering, Hold & Co.; Glenn Youngkin ’90, a former Rice basketball player and president and CEO of the Carlysle Group. Autry Court is named in memory of Houston philanthropist Allie Kinsloe Autry, mother of Allie May Autry Kelly ’25.

       

      Built: Original Autry Court and gymnasium, 1951, Jessen, Jessen, Millhouse & Greeven; 2008 renovation and addition to create the Tudor Field House and Youngkin Center by HOK Sport (now Populous).
