Rice Stadium
Historic Rice Stadium, home of Rice Owls football, also has served as the home field for the former Houston Oilers, Texas Southern University and the University of Houston; it has hosted concerts, collegiate and high school athletic contests and even Super Bowl VIII. President John F. Kennedy’s famous “Moon Speech” was delivered at Rice Stadium Sept. 12, 1962.
