      Robert R. Herring Hall

       

      Herring Hall was originally built for the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, which later expanded and relocated to McNair Hall, a larger facility. The building now houses offices for faculty from the School of Humanities.

      Named for: Robert R. Herring, president, CEO and board chairman of Houston Natural Gas Corporation and chairman of the Rice Board of Trustees from 1979 to 1981
