      The middle structure of the so-called “bio, geo, spac” trinity of buildings built between the late ’50s and mid ’60s, the Keith-Wiess Geological Laboratories houses Earth science and geology and geophysics.

       

      What’s there:

       

       

      Named for: Harry C. and Olga Keith Wiess. Harry Wiess was a co-founder and president of the Humble Oil and Refining Company (now Exxon-Mobil), and a trustee of the Rice Institute.
