Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) offers students various types of support to foster successful academic outcomes. This support includes recognizing the needs of breastfeeding mothers by providing Lactation Rooms for students and employees. Returning to work or school can be tough for postpartum mothers. The OCCC Lactation Rooms are designed to ease some of that burden by providing a secure, comfortable space to nurse or express milk. The rooms are equipped with seating and side tables, paper towels, hand sanitizer, and electrical outlets for breast-pumps.
Students and employees can access these rooms during regular College building hours. They do not need to reserve the space or pay a fee.
