    1. The Commons

      Howdy!

Welcome to the Texas A&M University Department of Residence Life Virtual Southside Residence Hall Tour!

Our Southside Residence Hall Tour begins inside the Commons, a hub of activity and amenities. Here you will find our 24 hour information desk, individual and group study spaces, a large game room, the Community Learning Center, convenient store, and dining services.

The Commons is directly connected to four Southside residence halls, Aston HallDunn HallKrueger Hall and Mosher Hall. These are Commons Style halls which you will see on this tour. Our other Southside halls Appelt Hall, Eppright Hall, Rudder Hall, Underwood Hall, and Wells Hall are Modular Style halls. Hart Hall is Ramp Style. We feature Modular and Ramp Style halls in our Northside Residence Hall Tour.

      Why live on campus?

Studies show that students who live on campus are more likely to have a higher GPA and graduate on time. You’ll find a variety of academic initiatives in your on-campus residence, which may include classes right where you live, tutoring, technology, study rooms, resource libraries, and workshops. Living on campus gives students an academic edge.

    2. Commons Style halls

Commons Style halls are suite style. Two double-occupancy residential rooms share a connected bathroom. Four residents share the connected bathroom. Just like all of our suite-style halls on campus, suitemates will always be the same gender.

Commons Style rooms are fairly spacious, allowing for plenty of floor space as well as storage. Krueger and Mosher Halls were recently renovated with new lighting, vinyl composite flooring, sliding closet doors, and ceramic bath tiles. Renovations to Aston Hall and Dunn Hall are estimated to be completed by fall 2022.

    3. More to Explore

      Academic Support Initiatives

Unlike off campus, Residence Life offers academic support programs and services. Residential tutoring, Academic Peer Mentors, faculty events, and more are available to all residents at no extra cost.

Enhance your on-campus residential experience by participating in a Living Learning Community (LLC). LLCs are residential clusterings of students who share academic or social and cultural interests. Residents in our LLCs benefit from additional resources, support, and enhanced activities centered around a specific focus.

      Sustainability

We strive to engage and educate our diverse student population about sustainability with the mission of making sustainability an Aggie tradition. Recycling bins and water bottle filling stations are located throughout all of our residence halls and apartments.
