      Why live on campus?

Living on campus is convenient. It's easy to get to class on time, stop by your professors' office hours, access the library, get a good workout at the Rec, and more, when all that campus has to offer is right out your front door.

When you live on campus you will be surrounded by a more diverse group of students, building community and friendships that will last a lifetime. Join a Living Learning Community, a residential clustering of students who share academic, social, or cultural interests.

Studies show that students who live on campus are more likely to have a higher GPA and graduate on time. You’ll find a variety of academic initiatives in your on-campus residence, which may include classes right where you live, tutoring, technology, study rooms, resource libraries, and workshops. Living on campus gives students an academic edge.

Enjoy the added security of living on campus. All residential buildings are locked 24 hours a day and entry requires card access. Only residents of a certain building have access to enter. In addition to the residential staff living in the buildings, University Police Department security officers regularly patrol areas outside the buildings.

    2. Corridor Style halls

The distinguishing feature of Corridor Style halls is the community style bathrooms. Community style bathrooms require a key to access, and your key will only open the bathroom on your floor in your hall. The bathrooms are cleaned daily by our custodial staff.

Moses Hall alternates gender by floor, meaning one floor is all male, the next floor is all female. Davis-Gary and Leggett Halls are all female on all floors.

    3. Balcony Style halls

Balcony Style halls feature rooms that open to an exterior balcony walkway. Another feature that makes this style unique is that Balcony Style rooms have built-in furniture along the walls, as well as a built-in dresser in the closet. This saves floor space and offers quite a bit of storage.

Balcony Style halls are suite style. Two residential rooms share a connected bathroom. Just like all of our suite-style halls on campus, suitemates will always be the same gender. These bathrooms are cleaned once per week by our custodial staff. For added security, card access is required to gain entry to the stairwell to the upper floors.

      Balcony Style halls:

    4. Modular Style halls

Modular Style halls offer a very spacious floorplan. This style houses two students per room. Each room has four closets and a private bathroom. These bathrooms are cleaned once per week by our custodial staff.

      Southside Modular Style halls:

    5. Ramp Style halls

Ramp style halls offer a unique living experience within our most historic halls on campus. Four rooms per floor are accessed by their own entry and interior stairwell or "ramp" and there are multiple ramps per building. Each ramp is like it's own smaller community within the building.

Ramp Style halls are suite style. Two residential rooms share a connected bathroom. Just like all of our suite-style halls on campus, suitemates will always be the same gender. These bathrooms are cleaned once per week by our custodial staff.

    6. Hullabaloo Hall

Hullabaloo Hall is the newest residence hall on campus. This hall has many different room styles and the ground floor is full of amenities such as the Hullabaloo Hangout game room, the Community Learning Center, music rooms, Starbucks®, Aggie Express convenient store, as well as individual and group study spaces, and meeting rooms.

The floor plans offered in Hullabaloo are as follows: single room, double room, single suite, and double suite. These options all have the same basic feel, hardwood style floors, nice tall ceilings, and similar finishes in the bathrooms as well as the bedrooms. Single rooms have a private bathroom. Suites are two residential rooms that share a connected bathroom. Just like all of our suite-style halls on campus, suitemates will always be the same gender. These bathrooms are cleaned once per week by our custodial staff.

There is a community kitchen and lounge on each floor.

    7. Hullabaloo Hangout

For a much needed study break, head to the Hullabaloo Hangout Game Room in Hullabaloo Hall. There are pool tables, ping-pong, foosball, and numerous large screen TVs. Equipment is available for checkout to all residents through the Hullabaloo Hangout desk. There is no charge for checkout.

    8. Community Learning Center

Community Learning Centers (CLCs) are conveniently located Northside in Hullabaloo Hall, Southside in the Commons, on West Campus in the White Creek Community Center, and at the Gardens Apartments. Each CLC is an open-access computer lab with accessible printers. There are comfortable study spaces for groups or individuals, as well as academic events and programs.

Residential Tutoring provides students with free tutoring through a partnership between the Academic Success Center and Residence Life. Our tutors are students who have done well in the courses offered and gone through extensive training with Academic Success Center staff.

Academic Peer Mentors (APMs) are upperclass students who live in the residence halls and apartments, and help other students succeed academically. APMs offer guidance through academic programs and events.
