      The Niabi Zoo is home to over 140 different species of animals, and features a variety of fun and educational displays and activities. 

       

    3. John Deere Factory

      John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline is John Deere's largest combine factory. The visitor's center offers free tours and information.

    4. Channel Cat Water Taxi Landing

      The Channel Cat Water Taxi service offers leisurely rides across the Mississippi to different places in the Quad Cities Area. 

    5. John Deere Pavilion

      The John Deere Pavilion is a museum for all things John Deere. It features education on the inner workings of Deere & Co., and machine simulators to let you experience what it's like to operate John Deere equipment.

       

       

    6. Lagomarcino's

      The Lagomarcino's confectioneries are famous for their handmade chocolates and candies, chocolate sauce, and a wide variety of delicious, authentically made foods and beverages. With rich history and tradition, Lagomarcino's is a Quad Cities favorite.


       

    7. Whitey's Ice Cream

      Whitey's is an ice cream chain unique to the Quad Cities area. While Whitey's shops are found across the Quad Cities, this Rock Island location is most often frequented by Augustana students.

       

       

    8. Cool Beanz Coffeehouse

      Cool Beanz is a locally owned coffeehouse run by an Augustana alumnus, and a favorite hangout spot of Augustana students. Student artwork often decorates the walls, and all Augustana students receive a discount. Cool Beanz also hosts live music, wine tastings, and various other events throughout the year.

       

    9. Botanical Center

      The Botanical Center in Rock Island features a number of exotic plant exhibitions, and offers educational programs about botany and horticulture.

       

    10. Arsenal Island Museum

      The Arsenal Island Museum features a huge collection of firearms and displays of military weapons from a variety of time periods. 


       

    11. Schwiebert Park

      Built as an homage to a national guard armory, Schwiebert Riverfront Park offers a scenic view of the Mississippi and plenty of fun family activities. 

       

    12. Modern Woodmen Park

      Modern Woodmen Park is a minor league baseball park and home to the Quad Cities River Bandits. 

       

       

    13. Figge Art Museum

      The Figge is the Quad Cities' largest art facility with 100,00 square feet for exhibitions and education, a restaurant and large outdoor plaza.

      Its landmark glass building on the banks of the Mississippi, designed by British architect David Chipperfield, is home to one of the Midwest’s finest art collections, and hosts world-class traveling exhibitions. Its studios, auditorium and spacious lobby are alive with art classes, lectures and special events. 

      The Figge collection includes European, American and Spanish Viceregal art, the Grant Wood Archive and works by other American Regionalist artists, an extensive collection of Haitian art, and contemporary works.   

       

    14. River Music Experience

      The River Music Experience is a performing arts facility in Davenport which offers a variety of opportunities to listen to and participate in music. The facility contains multiple venues for live music performance. 

       

    15. Putnam Museum and Theatre

      Celebrating its 150th anniversary, the Putnam Museum is the Quad Cities' biggest museum for science. It features hands-on activities and interactive displays, as well as information on the history of the Quad Cities.
