    1. The Sweatlodge

Designed and built with the help of Lakota Sioux leaders John Around Him and Albert White Hat, the sweatlodge is a traditional, ceremonial debris hut. When "an inipi," or "sweat" is conducted, hot rocks turn the cramped interior space into a virtual sauna. Unlike the neighboring sauna, however, this is a place for spiritual reflection, reverence, honoring ancestors and Lakota prayer.
