Slalom Hill is the former home of Proctor’s first ski lift and is now an access point to an extensive trail system. From Slalom Hill there are trails to The Cabin, Hopkins Pond and Mud Pond. In the 1940s, this south-facing hill was bare, and a rope tow pulled skiers to the top for the race course. Now, the Proctor Ski Area is located at The Blackwater, where it has superior conditions and north-facing slopes.
