The Proctor Academy Fire Department, or the PAFD,  has a long legacy at Proctor. Beginning in the 1940s, under the direction of legendary teacher Roland Burbank, the Proctor Fire Department has supported the local community while teaching invaluable lessons to student volunteers. Today, those trucks are no longer in use, but student involvement in the town's volunteer fire department remains an integral part of many students' lives and a key part of our community service.
