    1. Mountain Classroom

Mountain Classroom, started in 1973, was the first Proctor experiential off-campus program. In the decades that followed, hundreds of students have explored the desert in the Southwest, studying Native American cultures, water resource management, environmental science and border issues, while camping, hiking, rock-climbing and canoeing together. They earn full academic credit for their teamwork. The Mountain Classroom facility serves as home base for groups prior to their departure. It is also used by Ocean Classroom groups preparing for their sailing adventures on the North Atlantic each fall.
