    1. Manchester Hall

      Welcome to Manchester Hall, the starting point of the virtual tour and a central hub for student support and career development. Home to Undergraduate Admissions and the Career Development Center, it offers guidance for prospective students and resources such as career workshops, networking opportunities and industry programs. Just outside, Paseo de Colachis serves as a vibrant gathering space for studying, events and student involvement.

       

    2. Knauss School of Business

      We are now inside the Knauss Center for Business Education, which houses the Knauss School of Business, home to 11 majors and 13 minors. This modern, collaborative space supports student success through hands-on learning, dedicated advising and strong connections with faculty.

    3. Shiley Center for Science and Technology

      Welcome to the Shiley Center for Science and Technology, home to USD’s programs in biology, chemistry, physics and environmental science. This facility supports hands on learning and undergraduate research, with students working closely alongside faculty in small classes and dedicated labs. Through early research opportunities and university support, students are able to apply their learning in meaningful ways both on campus and beyond.

       

    4. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice & the Garden of the Sea

      Welcome to the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, a center for social innovation and global change-making. Here, students explore areas such as political science, social innovation and peace studies while engaging in hands-on programs that address real world challenges. As a recognized Ashoka U Changemaker campus, USD empowers students to create meaningful impact both locally and globally.

       

    5. Copley Library & the Learning Commons

      We are now in Copley Library, the main student library, featuring collaborative study spaces, quiet reading areas and reservable rooms for group work. Connected to local university libraries across San Diego, it provides access to an extensive range of academic resources. Located behind are the Learning Commons, home to the Writing Center and Honors Program, serving as both a central study hub and a space that supports interdisciplinary learning and academic success.

       

    6. Camino & Founders

      Welcome to the Camino & Founders Courtyard, home to Camino Hall and Founders Hall, two of the university’s original buildings. These spaces house classrooms for the College of Arts and Sciences as well as first year residential communities. This area reflects USD’s strong liberal arts foundation, combining academic life, residential living and community.

       

    7. Founders Chapel

      Welcome to Founders Chapel, the spiritual heart of USD, reflecting its Catholic tradition, commitment to faith, service and inclusion. Daily Mass is offered at 12:15pm, with two Sunday Mass times, though attendance is optional. Everyone is welcome to participate in Masses, retreats, service projects, and other University Ministry programs, regardless of faith, background, or identity. As you continue on, you will pass the Immaculata and Maher Hall before landing at your next stop.

    8. The Immaculata

      The Immaculata is a prominent landmark that highlights USD’s history and roots. While it’s owned by the Diocese of San Diego, it remains an iconic part of our campus.

    9. Maher Hall

      You are standing in front of Maher Hall, a first-year residence hall. The lower floors of the building house Aromas Cafe, the Student Health Center, the Center for Cultural Development and other student resources, including the media lab where students can rent laptops and other tech equipment or bring in devices for repair.

    10. Saints Tekakwitha and Serra Hall

      Welcome to Saints Tekakwitha and Serra Hall, home to key departments in the College of Arts and Sciences and the International Center, which supports USD’s highly popular study abroad programs. As you continue, you will pass into the Belanich Engineering Center, home to the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering, where students engage in innovative labs and community focused engineering projects.

       

    11. Hahn University Center & Student Life Pavillion

      We are now at the Hahn University Center, a central hub for student life, campus resources including the Torero Hub (Office of Financial Aid), the Torero Store and dining options. Just behind the building, the Kumeyaay Garden honors the history and culture of the Indigenous land on which USD sits.

       

    12. Palomar Health Student Wellness Center

      This is the Palomar Health Student Wellness Center, a state of the art facility supporting student well being through fitness, recreation and wellness resources. Featuring indoor and outdoor workout spaces, teaching kitchens and recovery areas, it offers a comprehensive approach to health in the heart of campus.

       

    13. The Valley, Vistas and Jenny Craig Pavillion

      Finally, the Valley includes residence halls for first year students and the Alcalá Vista Apartments for sophomores. Nearby, the Jenny Craig Pavilion serves as a central hub for athletics where many teams practice and compete, rounding out the campus experience and marking the final stop of your virtual tour.
