Located at 700 Beacon Street, Boston, the College of Art and Design, formerly known as the Art Institute of Boston, merged with Lesley in 1998 and emerged as Lesley University in 2001. The college and university are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. In January, 2015, the college makes its historic move from Boston to Cambridge.
